“Many people want to be leaders without the sacrificial service that
must go with leadership. Christians continue to fight among themselves
for positions. Such attitudes are transferred to public life. Everyone
wants to lead and no one wants to be a servant,” Prof. Martey decried.
Leaders make others better and take others up with them. They are genuinely interested in others. It is very difficult to become a good leader if you are not ready to serve, and that is really all what leadership is about-service.
“Ghana can only be great if the leadership in every sphere of life is willing to serve,” he emphasized.
