End-of-Year Executive Meeting

The end-of-year meeting is held in November, which is the last month on the SpreadAid International calendar. The meeting gives members the chance to eat and relax after working tediously throughout the year. The sole purpose of the meeting however, is to assess progress and shortcomings alike, write a yearly progress report and then look at ways of improvement for the upcoming year. The all-important meeting for the year 2016 was held at the Pinocchio Restaurant in East Legon, Accra where selected members and executives were invited to attend. The meeting started at 7:30 PM and lasted till about 9:30 PM. The year is put in retrospect where successes and failures are both measured. Ways are discussed as to how challenges that were faced throughout the year can be countered positively in the upcoming year. As the popular saying goes, those who fail to plan, plan to fail, hence, a comprehensive plan for the upcoming year is discussed and laid out. The work of a Non-profit organization is often a very tedious one especially when there is no "formal" remuneration of any sort to commend the work of the members. Awards are therefore given to deserving members as a source of motivation and to boost their commitment levels to the organisation as well. The top 3 fundraisers were awarded. 1st- Ms Mary Bushel 2nd - Mr. Maxwell Kumatey 3rd - Ms Tracy Bawa The first and second runners-up were given a SpreadAid International framed citation and Ms Mary Bushel (the winner) was given a beautiful crystal award. The General Secretary and the Personal Assistant to the Executive Director were both given a framed citation and a crystal awards respectively .

The whole meeting ended up with members taking photographs and socializing.
